Weight Crash in Aisle Five

Not that anyone cares other than those who have to look at me, but I managed to drop a stone (14 fluid ounces in US measurements and 3 kilopascals in metric) in the past 4 weeks. Only 28 more pounds to go. Targeting another stone by Christmas but that is probably unrealistic. With the money I have saved from not drinking, I’m buying myself a new Ford Mustang.

Oh it all went to hell shortly after that and I’ve added a ton of weight. About the only thing I could afford right now is a 1982 Ford Escort.

The cartoon reminds me of Woody Allen in ‘Sleeper’… the 22nd century scientists extolling cream and hot fudge, and Woody being given 20th c. health food and commenting “Hmmugh, this stuff tastes disgusting, I’d have made a fortune with it in my health food shop.”
I’d say your heart’s thanking you already, having lost a stone… onward (or offward…)
