My Dad kindly voted for this blog in several categories in the Blog Awards earlier. He mailed me to say that it reminded him of my Granny (Mary O’Neill) who voted for Dev eight times in the 1932 elections on both sides of the bridge in New Ross. Could you imagine if those old Cumann na mBan women were around now and decided to help the blog result?

And different GeoIP! On the interwebs, there is no anonymity.
Speaking of which, there was a bunch of tiffs on the Irish blogoshpere last week and I was getting tired of all the anonymous commenters.
It struck me that all the bloggers could “anonymously” cross-reference all the IP addresses and email addresses of all the commenters and figure out who the anony-Mouses were (or at least the nasty ones).
I need to get out more.

With 5 kids, and a big project starting, you’ll be staying in a lot more
speaking of geoIP’s, I’ve got 4 seperate ones from the pcs on my desk, one irish, one UK, one Spanish and one American.

Now that’s impressive!
If you were in a bad thriller, there’d be a live picture of the world showing us narrowing in on your location hop-by-hop and then shouting “curses” as we vector to four different countries.
Definitely need to get out more.
