Finally caught up on sleep and RSS feeds. Today is all about testing, tweaking and deploying updates. And two restaurant reviews. # Mail from person looking to move from NY to Cork. Anyone know the suss with Social Worker jobs down here? Qualifications? Openings? # Looks like we now work with blogger (using old API on new Blogger) but formatting horrendous. Time to tweak not tweet. # From AOL - http://ficlets.

Social Worker jobs in Cork?

I just got a mail from someone thinking about re-locating from New York to Cork City. She asked what the job situation was like in Social Working. Any of my readers have knowledge in this area? Are there many jobs to be had? With who? In what areas? What qualifications do you need? Any equivalence given to foreign qualifications? Any pointers or useful sites they should check out? Thanks.

Review of Comic Relief does The Apprentice

Best TV programme so far in 2007. Wonderful comedy <div> <span class="type">event</span> '<span class="item"></span><span class="fn">[Comic Relief does The Apprentice](http://www.bbc.co.uk/scoopcps/comicrel/news/2007/03/07/41423.shtml)</span>' <span class="dtreviewed">00:23 on Mar 16 2007</span> by <span class="reviewer vcard"></span><span class="fn">Conor O'Neill</span> </div> <div> Rating: <span class="rating">5</span> stars out of 5 <span class="stars" title="5">![](http://beta.loudervoice.com/static/images/small-star.png)![](http://beta.loudervoice.com/static/images/small-star.png)![](http://beta.loudervoice.com/static/images/small-star.png)![](http://beta.loudervoice.com/static/images/small-star.png)![](http://beta.loudervoice.com/static/images/small-star.png)</span> </div> <div class="description"> Whoever is running Comic Relief this year is doing a wonderful job with all the pre-programmes. Despite myself I’m enjoying Fame Academy but it pales in comparison to the TV gold that was The Apprentice tonight.

I'll have the calf's head please

Ancient Parisian restaurant still serving great food at amazing prices Review of Au Petit Riche Restaurant. 25, Rue Le Peletier, Paris, 75009, France Rating: 4 stars out of 5 A bunch of us geeks attended the pretty weak Le Web 3 conference in December 2006. The main party was on near l’Opera and we wanted to get something decent to eat (we’d had a Chinese the previous night!). Jan from Touristr is French and knew of an “institution” called Au Petit Riche which has been around since the mid 1800’s.

Tribune article on Awards

Richard Develan’s article on the Irish Blog Awards from the front page of the Business Section of The Sunday Tribune is here. Thanks for the mention Richard.

Finally something to add to my Scouting trophies

I still have the shakes and I don’t think it’s all drink related. Truly, madly, deeply stunned to win Best Blog Post at the awards last night. Thanks a million times over to all of you who voted for me. It was a bloody brilliant night overall and the highlight was Bernie refusing to take the “Best Contribution to the Irish Bloggersphere” award and giving it to Damien instead. A well deserved standing ovation ensued.
