Review of Tesco Online Shopping
[Tesco Online Shopping](http://www.tesco.ie/) <div class="summary">This started well but has gone all to hell recently. 2 hours late last night and missing tons of stuff</div> <div class="description"> Both myself and Catherine have raved about Tesco home delivery in the past. For the first few weeks that we used it, they couldn’t put a foot wrong. Then about a month ago the rot started to set in.

Report problems in County Cork using this
So after a small amount of fiddling I have put together a simple system to allow people to report problems like water/gas/electricity outages and maybe car crashes and road blockages in Cork (other suggestions welcome).
This is by the residents and for the residents of the region.
Updates are always visible to everyone at The Cork Problems Page.
If you want to send reports then the setup will take you maybe two minutes.

Review of The Tipping Point
[**The Tipping Point**](http://www.gladwell.com/tippingpoint/) <div class="summary">This book is seven years old but still a zinger. Read it on plane to Amsterdam and back. Loved every page.</div> <div class="description"> Malcolm Gladwell’s book really rocketed him into worldwide fame. Everything he has done since has been eagerly awaited. I only got around to reading The Tipping Point on Thursday and I’m glad I finally did.
The basic idea behind the book is that there are identifiable conditions and actions which cause something to become wildly popular or successful - things that become epidemics (in the wider sense of the word).

How to find about problems like the water situation in Bandon
We lost water around 2am Saturday and it returned dark brown at around 2pm. Does anyone know what the back story is and whether the water is safe to drink?
I would encourage Cork CoCo to immediately fire the arsehole at the end of the “All other emergencies” phone line listed in the Green Pages. My wife rang this cretin at 6am to report the water problem and find out what was wrong.

Annnnnnd, the Bandon Show is on this Sunday
It really is a fun day out. Most of the town seems to head up.
Fionn will love the animals, Sibéal will screech at the dogs and the eldest boys will demand ice-cream from the second they arrive.
I’ll take more pictures of huge cows which impress me every time. Hope to catch some show-jumping too.
Head towards Clon, turn right for Dunmanway/Recycling facility, right again about half a mile down and you hit it after another mile or two.

New Bandon Blog.
Just discovered that the bandon.ie folks now have a blog. Excellent!
Of course they should have used Wordpress.com from the fair Donncha of Blarney instead of Blogger but we won’t hold that against them :-)
Subscribed.

Bandon Music Festival June bank Holiday Weekend
Get yer dancing shoes on because they really do have a line-up to suit everyone this year.
As with previous years the Bandon Music Festival will consist of two free outdoor concerts on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, the Music Trail will take place each night of the festival in local pubs. These sessions will consist of trad, folk and rock. Added to this, there will be street entertainment throughout the weekend, with live music at the Farmers’ Market and the Red Patrollers appearing in Riverview Shopping Centre on Saturday afternoon.

Great new Art Gallery in West Cork
Haydn Shaughnessy is opening a new art gallery in the Pink Elephant in Harbour View overlooking the sea. As its name suggests it is dedicated to Innovative Contemporary Art.
The official launch is on May 31st but you can see some of the exhibitors over at the web-site which is really beautifully designed. Haydn has blogged it here and mentions that two of my favourite photo-bloggers, Ryan and Donncha should be exhibiting there soon.

Review of Capote (Movie)

I used to read lots but don’t find the time any more. I’ve always tended to avoid “literature”. Either non-fiction or pulp thrillers are my staples. I’m one of those people who read “Catcher In The Rye” and thought “so what?
