Like a lot of things I think they have gone from poor people’s food to gourmet food over the course of 30 years. Used to be very common in chippers. In the past didn’t they throw monkfish back into the sea when it was caught?

I couldn’t agree more. I too had a perfect lunch recently, and had the tuna cooked rare. My Australian cousin and his wife, from Brisbane, said it was the best fish restaurant they’d ever been in.

News: Fishy Fishy will begin accepting credit and debit cards soon, according to the woman who served us.

Sounds great — definitely one to check out next time I’m in Kinsale. Couldn’t agree more that every town in West Cork should have a decent seafood place.

We have some amazing produce on our doorstep… and yet so often it’s overpriced and ultimately disappointing.

Must make a point of trying Fishy Fishy soon… salivating already!

without a doubt – could take any 3 star chef here and they would have to love it

Then head to the White Lady for the best pint of Murphs !
