I was particularly disappointed with what they did in Kilbrittain. The walk is totally unusable with a buggy. And it's just mud on the other side of the road.

Oh for more things like the paths in Farran Wood down around Long Strand and Rathbarry/Castlefreke

Couldn't agree more Nick.

I found it frustrating trying to find safe routes to run when training and now that the children are getting older, it would be great to find some decent cycling paths so we could go out together.
Places that we can go for walks and bring the buggy for the baby are few enough as it is. For such a beautiful county, its a pity.

We've been on the old railway a few times Catherine and as you say it's safe enough. It's a pity there aren't a few more amenities like this around. We were over in Cornwall during the summer and they've made great use of the old railway lines by converting them into foot/cycle paths.

Another suggestion for cycling is maybe the old railway from just outside Bandon parallel to the Innishannon road to the carpark halfway to Innishannon. Have jogged and walked it. Would be safe for bikes.

I'd love if there was. There is a distinct lack of footpaths in West Cork for kids to cycle on away from the traffic. I' dearly love if they built one from Clon to Inchydoney.

Maybe the walking track from Timoleague to Courtmac when the tide is in so the stench isn't so bad :-)
