We didn’t make it due to post-communion exhaustion! I know rain showers are traditional but it must have been a quagmire on Sunday with all the rain. I hope they still had a successful day.

My father used to sponsor something at this show many years ago and we used to be taken along on show day and had a really enjoyable time. Haven’t been to it in years and didn’t make last weekend’s due to travelling for the past week.
Quentin, I met one of your canvassers on Main St weekend before last (with the cool electric car) and pointed it out to him that you were listed as a PD candidate in an Irish Indo constituency roundup in an edition about 3 weeks ago. Does anyone do their homework???
FYI the Cork Summer Show is on sometime in June this year. This used to be a big affair years ago – a 3 day show! – but has downsized somewhat in recent years. Well worth a visit though for the Country kitchen section. Killer calories.

The organisers have invited all the candidates to come along and use the opportunity to meet their constituents, press the flesh, promise everything you ever wanted if we get in etc.
