Damien just posted the short-list for the Irish Blog Awards. I got through in all four categories in which I was long-listed. I think I need to lie down.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again now – I have the smartest, sexiest, wittiest, funniest, bestest readers on the planet. Thank you all for responding so well to my daily emails begging you to vote for me. They’ll stop now.

Congrats on the shortlist
I’m delighted myself with my two, it should be a good night!
Well done again, the four nominations are well deserved.

Thanks Kav, I had my fingers cross for best post but that’s all I thought stood a chance. I’m a bit shocked with the company I’m keeping in those categories. I’d better go buy a new pair of jeans for the night.

Current plan is 4&5 to my parents in Kilk. 4 to Da, 5 to Ma. Then 1, 2 and 3 split between sister 2 and sister 3. Not sure of that yet. Just pumped Joe Drumgoole at FoWA for good places to eat near there. Like the sound of Town and Country.

Congrats Conor! If you feel like walking over to Dublin Castle Chez Max is well worth checking out – good food, decent wine and a not-large bill. I had a cheese souffle last time I was there – yummy!
