Live in Cork and head into Boqueria on a reg basis. Food is always consistant and tasty and there is enough of a choice to try ou different dishes with every visit.
Great buzz but sometimes a little too busy and uncomfortable.
I reckon we are lucky to have it!

The Spanish people are a very family friendly people and like to share. Pity you and your friends were not in the same mode. Tapas is to be shared. One plate and everyone dips in. Order as many plates as you like and enjoy the different tastes.

I'm not surprised the waitress did not help. She probably never met anyone like you.

Have you been back. We have and what an experience. Its just the best bit of Cork and almost on par with Salamanca in Andrews Street in Dublin.

It is good to hear about this stuff because a sample of one, good or bad, is never sufficient.

It does look like it has improved a lot with a massive menu evenly split between hots n colds and the portions being too big now!

Reminds me of a friend of mine years ago who was in a taxi as it passed Shannon's restaurant in Dublin (real nouvelle cuisine place). The taxi driver said he had eaten there the previous night. Beautiful food but had to go home and eat a sliced pan afterwards.

We were in Cafe Paradiso last night (review coming later) and I was concerned about the portion size thing due to my bigotry about SVS (Scrawny Vegetarian Syndrome). I actually left stuffed.

Went in there possibly a year ago now. Crap choice, far too expensive, no hot dishes for some reason. portions were tiny and ghastly service. I went home after and made myself a sandwich, my mate went home and ordered a pizza. I might go again but will bring an espanol speaker with me this time.

I'm a big fan of tapas and was majorily disappointed with what was on offer.

It does sound well worth checking out when I'm next in Cork - although, I have to say, I'm not hugely impressed with tapas bars that encourage non-tapas-type ordering!

I thought you'd like that. You were originally Mr H, but I thought W was more literary.

So much for consistency tho. It should also have been M & M for the others. All peanut jokes welcome.

I like the 'W' moniker. It makes me sound kinda mysterious. I might insist that from now on everyone refers to me simply as 'W' in writing ;-)
